This policy is part of your contestant agreement and must be signed at registration. [YOUR PAGEANT NAME] is committed to treating every contestant fairly while also protecting the event’s budget and other contestants’ experience. This policy defines the refund schedule for contestants who are unable to compete.
Full refund — Contestant withdraws more than 45 days before pageant date. Entry fee refunded in full, minus a $25 processing fee.
50% refund — Contestant withdraws between 45 days and 14 days before pageant date.
No refund — Contestant withdraws within 14 days of pageant date. However, the contestant may transfer her entry to the following year’s pageant at no additional cost, provided she meets the eligibility requirements at that time.

As an alternative to a refund, a contestant may request to transfer her paid entry to the next year’s pageant. Transfer requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the original pageant date. Transferred entries are non-refundable and expire if not used at the following year’s pageant.
