Effective [DATE]. By registering for this pageant, contestants and their parents/guardians agree to all rules below.

1. Eligibility

• Contestants must be between the ages of [MIN] and [MAX] on the day of the pageant
• Contestants must be a resident of [STATE / REGION]
• Contestants must be [unmarried / have no children / other requirements]
• Additional eligibility criteria: [LIST]

2. Competition Categories and Weights

Final placement is determined by the sum of weighted category scores:

• Interview: 40%
• Talent: 30%
• Evening Wear: 20%
• On-Stage Question: 10%

In the event of a tie in final placement, the contestant with the highest Interview score wins the tiebreaker. If still tied, the tiebreaker goes to the contestant with the highest Evening Wear score.

3. Dress Code

Evening Wear

• Floor-length evening gown
• Strapless styles acceptable
• No cutouts between bust and waist
• No transparent fabrics below the chest

Talent

• Appropriate attire for the selected performance
• Costume must fit within the stage space without props extending beyond

Interview

• Business attire (suit, cocktail dress, or equivalent professional look)

On-Stage Question

• Same requirements as Evening Wear

No profanity, inappropriate imagery, or commercial/brand prominent logos on any competition attire.

4. Backstage Conduct

• Only credentialed persons permitted backstage
• No outside photography in the dressing rooms or wings
• Phones must be silent during rehearsal and competition
• Each contestant is responsible for the cleanliness of her dressing area
• No alcohol or illegal substances on premises

5. Titleholder Responsibilities

The winner of [YOUR PAGEANT NAME] agrees to:

• Attend a minimum of [NUMBER] scheduled appearances during her reign
• Represent the pageant with integrity and good conduct
• Return all regalia at the end of her reign
• Not compete in any other pageant in the same age/category division without written permission

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in forfeiture of the title. See separate Titleholder Resignation Policy.

6. Refund and Dropout Policy

See separate Dropout Policy document, incorporated by reference.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any concern about the pageant, judging, or scoring must be submitted in writing to the director at [EMAIL] within seven days of the pageant. The director will respond in writing within seven days of receipt. Judges’ decisions are final.

8. Changes to These Rules

The director reserves the right to update these rules with reasonable notice to registered contestants. Changes will be distributed via email to all registered contestants and their parents/guardians.

9. Code of Conduct for Contestants, Parents, and Guests

Contestants, parents, and family members are expected to treat one another, volunteers, judges, and venue staff with respect. Behavior that disrupts the event, is disrespectful to others, or damages the reputation of the pageant may result in removal from the venue and disqualification.
